Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in discovering new products and answering inquiries.
• Inform customers about food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
• Check product quality, review expiration dates, and take necessary actions.
• Provide fresh and non-perishable grocery items to customers.
• Stock, label, and manage inventory for the department.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager.
• Stay updated on current, future, seasonal, and special advertisements.
• Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines diligently.
• Maintain proper temperatures in coolers and freezers, logging as required.
• Foster a welcoming environment by interacting positively with customers.
• Participate in safety programs and report any unsafe conditions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and report any necessary repairs.
• Assist in managing customer or employee incidents effectively.
• Work well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Demonstrate conflict resolution skills and act with integrity in all interactions.
• Provide support to diverse groups, including minors, seniors, and individuals with special needs.
• Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, and subtraction).

• Retail experience.
