Overview

A services organization in Colorado is seeking an experienced IT professional to join their staff in the Greater Denver area as a Network Engineer.

Base pay range

$45.00/hr - $48.00/hr

Hybrid onsite schedule: 4 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP
• Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
• Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience
• Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
• Thorough understanding of DOCSIS and provisioning, including TR-143
• Solid problem-solving and time management skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills

• Experience in CPE Testing
• Experience with a cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP)
• Experience with IP routing, IP multicast, streaming video, wireless, Voice over IP (VoIP), and/or home networking
• Experience with automation, databases, scripting, and system administration
