Production Artist / Retoucher
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid: On-site & Remote)
We’re seeking a highly skilled Production Artist/Retoucher for a contract role supporting our in-house creative team. In this position, you’ll work closely with photographers, videographers, and lead designers to process high-quality product and technical photography. You’ll be responsible for applying consistent, accurate retouching, adding clear graphic overlays, and preparing visuals for global publication all in support of one of the most respected brands in the design world.

Key Responsibilities
Retouch and process high-resolution images of complex technical products for a variety of uses.
Apply graphic overlays and annotations to support informational clarity and consistency with adherence to department style guides.
Maintain organized, shareable files with proper layer structure and naming conventions.
Collaborate with team members and partners across photography, video, design, and production.
Troubleshoot production challenges and support development of new workflows as needed.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of experience minimum in commercial photo retouching, ideally in a corporate or high-volume production setting.
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; solid working knowledge of Illustrator and other Creative Suite tools.
Experience with background removal, color correction, and image optimization for consistency and accuracy.
Understanding of visual design fundamentals such as layout, typography, proportion, and hierarchy.
Clear communicator with strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset.
Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility, and localization considerations is a plus.
Comfortable working within a hybrid workflow (part remote, part on-campus as needed).
Nice to Have
Exposure to motion graphics or video workflows (After Effects, Premiere).
Background in product photography or studio environments.
Experience working with enterprise brand guidelines and systems.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily based at our Austin campus. A hybrid model is supported, with flexibility for secure, focused work in your home office.
