LASTING SUPPORT Modern Slavery Statement

Overview

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by Lasting Support Network CIC and its trading arm, Lasting Support Services Ltd, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our organisation and supply chains. This statement is in respect of Lasting Support Network’s financial year, which ended December 2025.

Our Organisation

Lasting Support Network CIC is a Community Interest Company delivering therapeutic and community-based support to children, young people and families affected by domestic abuse and violence, principally through our Building Bridges programme. Lasting Support Services Ltd is our trading arm, operating under a licence agreement with Lasting Support Network CIC. While we are below the turnover threshold at which this statement is a legal requirement, we are publishing it voluntarily, reflecting our commitment to ethical practice and to the communities we serve.

Our commitment

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery does not take place anywhere in our organisation or in any of our supply chains.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains are limited in scale, consisting principally of: premises and venue hire arrangements; recruitment of staff, sessional workers and volunteers; procurement of training and clinical supervision services; and general office and programme supplies. We do not operate in high-risk sectors typically associated with modern slavery (such as manufacturing, construction, or agriculture), but we recognise that no organisation is entirely free of risk, and we keep our approach under regular review.

Due diligence and risk assessment

We assess the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains by:

  • Applying safer recruitment practices to all staff and volunteers, including right-to-work checks and, where relevant to the role, DBS checks
  • Reviewing contracts and arrangements with venue providers, subcontractors and delivery partners to ensure fair working practices
  • Maintaining open channels for staff and volunteers to raise concerns, including through our whistleblowing policy

Policies

Our approach is underpinned by our Safer Recruitment Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, and Equality and Diversity Policy, which together set clear expectations around fair treatment, safe working conditions, and the reporting of any concerns relating to exploitation or coercion, whether involving our own staff, volunteers, or those of our partners and suppliers.

Training

Relevant staff involved in recruitment, procurement and partnership arrangements are made aware of the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking and understand the steps to take if they have concerns, as part of their induction and ongoing training.
