"With support services stretched, violence against women and girls rising by nearly 40% in London over the last decade, and family breakdown at a record high, it is absolutely clear that the work of Lasting Support is crucially important and needed now, with families and individuals who may feel culturally excluded from statutory services being particularly impacted by these trends. Lasting Support intervenes to support these families and individuals, working to stem the tide of family breakdown and trauma. "

Their insight was instrumental in helping us understand how the care system has failed girls at risk of exploitation by drugs gangs, and in shaping the editorial rigour with which we approached this subject.
