ABOUT

Our Ethos

We sit where community meets clinical expertise. We are small enough to know every family by name, but experienced enough to advise local authorities and national funders.

Our strength lies in our flexibility and responsiveness without compromising professional standards. When families are written off as “hard to reach,” we stay curious and stay present. When support doesn’t exist, we build it. We are open, collaborative, and deeply rooted in lived experience.

Our goal is to ensure access to therapy and healing services without barriers, empowering families to thrive despite adversity.

Our Story

Lasting Support was founded to address gaps in provision, training and safeguarding capacity within systems responsible for supporting vulnerable children and young people. Developed through the Cambridge Social Venture Programme and shaped by combined professional and lived experience, our team designed a specialist, relational support model grounded in real-world practice.

Our work has been independently reviewed by Sussex and Cambridge Universities and recognised through award nominations and sector-wide recognition. We have been featured across national media platforms and invited to contribute to international conversations on safeguarding, including speaking at the United Nations. We are regularly asked to support safeguarding reviews, research, and complex case consultation, and have been funded by statutory bodies including the Home Office, MOPAC, the Greater London Authority and local authorities.
