Lasting Support to feature in BBC Documentary Britain’s Forgotten Girls

Tonight Britain’s Forgotten Girls airs on BBC Two at 9pm. We at Lasting Support are proud and honoured to have been asked to contribute to this powerful documentary.

Girls across Britain are being groomed and exploited by drug gangs. Through survivors and whistleblowers, this film investigates why the failures have continued for two decades.

The producers, Alessia Camoirano and Jamie Tahsin, did an incredible job with their research, and the care and sensitivity they brought throughout the process really showed. Most importantly, the survivors were placed front and centre, with their voices, experiences and resilience given the space they deserve.

This is a difficult but vital watch, shining a light on decades of exploitation that has too often gone unheard. We’d strongly encourage everyone to tune in.
