Lasting Support Ambassador Payzee Mahmod Speaks On Sara Sharif
“To save their own egos, a child has been left to suffer.”
Our phenomenal ambassador Payzee Mahmod was interviewed by That’s TV Surrey about the safeguarding review of Sara Sharif’s death and what can be done to protect children and young people currently in similar situations, emphasising the importance of collective safeguarding efforts.
The review of the case was published on the 13th of November by Surrey County Council which can be found here. In their review one of the conclusions determined that the lack of holistic care and overemphasis on individual agencies and systems leave not only children and young people at risk but give practitioners an extra challenge in determining the level of risk at hand due to a lack of historical information, It’s clear that there must be an overhaul of the systems at work when it comes to caring for children and young people.
The work we do at Lasting Support is to ensure that children and young people grow up to have happy, healthy lives. To work with ambassadors such as Payzee to support young people in need, please get in touch with info@lastingsupportservices.com.
